Child's Play | Rebrand
Overview
Spring 2024 | Alice Phoebe Lou's album Child's Play (2021) is one of my favorites. Here, I've explored it like a branding exercise. As well as redesigning the cover art, I considered how the brand could be maintained in concert venue signage and visuals.
Current Design
The current album art is beautiful, and much to live up to. My project was less in effort of an improved redesign, rather to explore an alternative design with different considerations from the original. As an avid listener of the album, I considered how it appeared visually in my own head, and also wanted to explore it typographically, which is not considered in the original.

Brand Thinking
Considering Child's Play as a brand, the core characteristic I chose to convey was playfulness — it's in the title, and in all the sounds. I designed the graphics as such, considered playful motion and implemented this in my sample concert visuals (see below). The typeface and title treatment I chose is versatile, with a naive quality, contributing to the air of play.
