Embrace | BFA Design Thesis
Overview
Spring 2025 | My BFA design thesis is an exploration of embrace. I began with an archive, interviewing friends and collecting images to better understand 'embrace' as such a broad concept. I compiled this in a publication. For the second part of my work, I designed two wearable pieces to further explore — and perhaps create—embrace. I held a photoshoot to document the pieces in use, collaboratively with other student artists & models.
The Archive
My collection spans 64 pages, printed with Risograph and inkjet on Mohawk superfine eggshell paper. The book is hand-bound.

The Creation
I designed and constructed the pieces (it was a lot of sewing!) Along with a great team (see below), I held a photoshoot. I styled the pieces and directed the models, both as a documentation of my work and to witness the wearers' experiences in the pieces.
